Choosing between Contact Lenses and Glasses
At some time or another unless you are lucky enough to have perfect vision, you will be obliged to pay a visit to an optician for an eye test, and will probably leave with a prescription for lenses. You will have to choose between contact lens or glasses. So, which is the best option for you?
A certain number of people prefer glasses. They are easier to place than contact lenses. You simply get up in the morning and place them on your nose. A similar simple movement is needed at night; you simply remove your glasses and place them in your glasses case. If you wear contacts however, you have the ritual of removing them and cleaning them. Some people get extremely frustrated by the fact that they drop there contact lenses and have difficulty in finding them.
However, some people simple do not like to wear glasses, they believe that glasses compromises their appearance and for aesthetic reasons they prefer to wear contact lenses. It is true of course that with the enormous range of contact lenses now available contact lenses can often be used as a way of complimenting your appearance or your make up by choosing to wear colored contact lenses.
Some people also find glasses very cumbersome and especially for those who need to wear glasses all the time, they can be a safety hazard when taking part in a number of sports. In fact there are now special contact lenses available for those who like to play sports, with special filters that enhance the color of a tennis ball or golf ball. This means you not only improve your vision but also your game!
At the end of the day whether you decide to choose to wear glasses or contact lenses is a personal choice and much will depend on your lifestyle and personal preferences.
